The Cave

The world looks very different from the inside of a cave. The Apostle John spent his last days on the Greek island of Patmos. The divinely appointed place where the spiritual downloading and physical writing of the Book of Revelation took place.

Sometimes, as believers we need to spiritually hide out in our ‘cave’. Away from the world. Jesus would regularly pray on the Mount of Olives, away from others. It is written in Matthew 14:23,

“After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone,”

Therefore, it is in our ‘cave’, our secret place where we can communicate one-on-one with God. In Matthew 6:6 (NKJV) it is written,

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

We can be in this quiet time to meditate upon the Word of God, read devotionals and write anything that we download in the spirit. As believers living in a fallen world, life can discourage you, make you feel hopeless at times, feel like God is not hearing you or listening. We would encourage you today to remember the scripture in Psalm 27:14. It is written,

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

We know one thing for sure, He always answers…
